WHO WE ARE
4 Love, 4 Loyalty, 4 Life.
Shadows of Soulz (aka SOS) is a collective of alternative hiphop artists founded in Newark, NJ, 1998. Since then, its members and affiliated acts have grown into the hundreds, and included acts from both Coasts and the South.
Its core membership revolves around its founder, BOOGIEMAN, GRIM69, MECCA, SANDMAN and LEENA RED to name a few.
Over the years, the collective became highly influential in the East Coast, dominating the underground scene with their dynamic choreography and unique sound, eventually earning the respect and support of venerated artists such as Jay-Z, Fetty Wap, Three 6 Mafia, Rah Digga, and many others.
In the late 2010’s, the group went into a period of solo spinoffs, and silence.
Then in 2020, SOS would relaunch, with a fresh new set of faces. This class of members would be the most ambitious project, featuring the youngest performers in SOS history, and calling in production from several hit-making producers from California to Denmark.
In late 2021, SOS was signed by 3rd Eye Tribe Entertainment/Universal and partnered with the company AnimeHipHop, to develop an animated short film based on its members.
SOS newest project, READY OR NOT, marked a 180-degree shift in the group’s tone and style, due mainly to the collaborate efforts of its newest member, AARON KAYE — California native songwriter and co-founder of Destiny Music Group. Boogieman and Aaron released their first single through ROCNATION’s newest venture, EQ Distro, with a strong buzz and stylish music video.
The duo leading the majority of the project, crafted a heavily nostalgic R&B and funk driven sound as they also added 2 new artists:
Boogieman’s nephew, K-BANG, hailing from Texas, and Brooklyn-based femcee and producer, ORIEYO. While each member is completely unique, what they all have in common is their passion for the artform – and characteristics that make it hard for them to stay inside the box.
READY OR NOT

The meaning of the name refers to many things. At its core it represents becoming a light among the dark – our journey through self-knowledge and self-mastery, and the role our conscious and subconscious play in the journey. These are the 2 “shadows” behind every soul.
The subconscious determines our conscious reality, or in other words: I see you, you see me.

MANAGEMENT
Behind the scenes, Shadows of Soulz is managed by BETHANY KOSLOFF, Vice President of SOS Entertainment. Born in Grand Rapids, MI raised in NYC, Bethany is a visionary with a passion for storytelling, uplifting others and a natural born-advocate for artists.
Starting at 5 years old in the entertainment industry, Bethany has a strong background in stagecraft for theater productions which opened doors into the music industry as a manager for artists, media director at BTG Entertainment and A&R for Pay Day Entertainment. Today, Bethany is the owner of BeeBeeTy Photography and co-founder of Hype City Swag Podcast, platforms dedicated to giving independent artists a voice.
As the Vice President of SOS Entertainment, she is leading Shadows of Soulz to new heights in the group’s ventures through music, media and fashion.
Bethany is also using her platform to provide support for victims of domestic violence through her “From Pain to Power” Campaign. “I was born to build movements, not just moments.” – Bethany Kosloff
